Q) Will I lose my driver's license if I am convicted of a drug offense?

A) The court may take away your license for a period of time, between 6 months and 2 years, to begin on the day of your sentencing, unless there are compelling circumstances justifying a waiver of the suspension, such as extreme hardship.  If your driving privileges are forfeited, you will be required to give your driver's license to the court staff prior to leaving court.
