If you fail to respond by the date shown on your summons, the court will take further action depending on whether the charge required a personal appearance in court. If you were issued a summons for a traffic or ordinance violation not requiring a court appearance, the Point Pleasant Municipal Court will send you a failure to appear notice. If you do not pay the fines by the date shown on this notice, you will face the issuance of a warrant and suspension of your driving privileges. If the charge requires a personal appearance by you in court and you did not appear, a bench warrant for arrest will be issued and a bail amount will be assessed.
