Public restrooms are available to the left and right of the entryway into the building's courtroom.

What Can I Bring Inside the Ocean Township Court?

In terms of bringing electronic devices into court, it is preferred that these are kept in your vehicle. If they must be brought inside, guests are urged to keep these devices on silent or turned off so that they do not disrupt court proceedings. These devices can be confiscated if these rules are not followed.

Documents to Bring to a Court Appearance

Most people arriving for their first appearance may not be required to bring along any paperwork, but that will depend on the charge or offense. It is advised that you always bring with you a form of identification, your traffic summons or complaint and any other documentation that may support your defense. You should consult with your lawyer prior to your court date to discuss preparing for your scheduled appearance.

If you do not appear for a required court appearance, then in the judge's discretion a bench warrant may be issued. Contempt charges may be issued for a late or nonappearance for those who have not posted bail.
