How to Decide if you Should File for Divorce

Posted by Vincent C. DeLuca | Jul 24, 2020 | 0 Comments

The decision of whether to file for divorce is no doubt a very difficult decision.  No one can decide the question for you.  You must make that determination.  It is a decision that should be thought through very carefully.  Everyone has different reasons for contemplating a divorce filing.  If you are unsure as to what you should do, it may prove to be helpful to thoroughly discuss your reasons for wanting a divorce with a therapist or life coach.  You may also want to explore the possibility of engaging in marital counseling if you think there may be a chance of saving the marriage.

Everyone deserves to be happy and to feel appreciated in a relationship.  Very often individuals consult with a divorce attorney and end up not going through the divorce process for a variety of reasons.  Some divorce attorneys offer a free initial consultation wherein many of your questions about what happens both during a divorce and after a divorce can be answered.

A good divorce attorney should not encourage an individual to file for divorce, the individual should make that choice.  A good divorce attorney will answer questions posed by a potential client, and provide them with advice as what options are available to them if they are unsure about initiating the divorce process.

If you are unsure as to what to do concerning your marriage, call the divorce lawyers at Villani and DeLuca.  The divorce lawyers at Villani and DeLuca offer a free initial consultation and will answer any questions that you may have.  The attorneys are equipped to conduct initial consults either over the telephone, in person or by way of zoom video conferencing.
