How Fast can I get a Divorce?

Posted by Vincent C. DeLuca | Sep 04, 2020 | 0 Comments

The fastest way to get a divorce would be for you and your soon to be ex, to agree on a mediator.  Divorce mediation is a process wherein the parties meet with an independent third party, the mediator, who assists them in preparing the terms of settlement which will govern the divorce.

If the parties are somewhat friendly with one another and the issues involved in the case are not overly complex, it may be possible to have the parties come to an agreement after only one mediation session.

After the parties have arrived at an agreement the finalization of the divorce is a mere formality.  The procedural aspects of processing what is called an uncontested divorce is not that difficult.  An experienced attorney can navigate this process very quickly.  It is possible to get a divorce done soup to nuts inclusive of a mediation and the processing of an uncontested hearing within 45-60 days from the date the parties commence the mediation process.

In order for this to be accomplished the parties would need to utilize the services of an experienced divorce mediator.

Vincent DeLuca of the Villani and DeLuca law firm has successfully mediated hundreds of divorce cases over the years.  Mr. DeLuca is able to conduct his mediations virtually so the parties do not even have to take off from work to engage in the process.  He also offers the parties the option of conducting the mediation sessions after the close of normal business hours if need be.  Additionally, he does not require any upfront retainer monies to conduct the process.  On average he is able to conduct complete mediations for between 1,500-2,500 dollars.  Obviously, each case is different, and the amount of the costs is dependent on the number of issues in dispute.  If you are interested in the divorce mediation process, please call the Law Offices of Villani and DeLuca to schedule your initial session.
