Berkeley Township Municipal Court Judge and Staff

The judge presiding over the Berkeley Township Municipal Court is the Honorable James J. Gluck.  The Certified Municipal Court Administrator is Aileen Alonzo, the Deputy Court Administrator is Cynthia Walsh and Angela Van Winkle is the Violations Clerk.  The Berkeley Township Municipal Court Prosecutor is Steven Zabarsky, Esq.

Berkeley Court Days, Sessions & Hours of Operation

Berkeley Township Municipal Court sessions are held on the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month (except December). Times are as follows: second Wednesday 8:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m., third Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. only, and fourth Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.

Payment of Fines and Tickets at Berkeley Municipal Court

Berkeley Township Municipal Court does not currently accept credit or debit cards. Payment must be made in the form of cash, check or money order.  Payments for traffic tickets only may be made at www.njmcdirect.com.  The Berkeley Township Court ID is 1505.

What to Expect on Your Day at the Berkeley Township Municipal Court

A court appearance is required in criminal matters and DWI charges.  Additionally, if “court appearance required” is checked on your summons, you must appear in court at the time and place indicated, even if you wish to plead guilty.

If a court appearance is required, it is very important that you arrive to court early on the date stated on your ticket, summons, subpoena or court notice, and bring all documentation with you.  Upon arrival, you will go through a metal detection procedure before entering the court.  A court officer will then check you in and give you further instructions.
